Kingston Smith Appoints Female Managing Partner

Julie Walsh Kingston Smith Global AccountantJulie Walsh has been appointed Managing Partner of Kingston Smith LLP, with effect from 1 November 2013.

Julie has been a partner at Kingston Smith since 1987 and has played an integral role in the firm’s management. She has been closely involved in steering the growth and development of the business over many years. Julie will remain head of the Professional Firms sector group in her new role, whilst continuing to act for her current clients.

In addition, the partners have appointed an Executive Board, the other members of which are Martin Muirhead, Maureen Penfold, Tim Stovold, Jon Sutcliffe and Graham Tyler.

Sir Michael Snyder, who continues in his role as Senior Partner, commented:

It is with great pleasure that I hand over the role of Managing Partner to Julie, who has for many years played an invaluable part in the management of the firm. I am also pleased to welcome the new members of the Executive Board, who will help build on the firm’s success and lead it forward.
